Mourning Chorus by Fiona Hall

It is one of the works from Fiona Hall, which is called Mourning Chorus. The window is made of resin.I like this piece of work, because the window outside is really classic and beautiful. Many leaves are used on the glass, which made the window unique, different and energetic. It is like a variety of brands from the tree, so it looks very natural. Through the window, we can see the inside part which may contain conditioner, cleaner or something else. In addition, the color of the window frame is quite suitable to the window. The marerials of the inside bottle are plastic, so it is in contrast to the window. Also, the shape of the artwork is anomalous, and it is the particular aspect that affects the works.

Rosalie Gascoigne - Rocky road

This piece of work is made by Rosalie Gascoigne. What I like is the irregular configuration which shows the difference between blocks. It gives me an impression of impluse. Even the block is in various shapes, it looks like having a particular pattern that was set by the artist. Different sizes make me feel unique, additionally, some blocks are long and some are short, so there are a number of shadings inside. The materials may be wood or rock, but this special colour may probably be another factor that catches my attention. Why the artist called this image "Rocky road" may be because it is rough, irregular. It is its a variety of sizes that makes the image a sense of space.

It just uses two different opposite colours to paint the wall, the light and the armchair, which is rather classic. In addition, the leaf was designed in a different way. However, the light is somehow gleamy, that is to say some areas are quite bright, and some areas are really dark. Hence, it is a contrast between brightness and darkness.
