The disconnected shadow

From Lecture 7, the slide of the disconnected shadow shows the continuous repetition of rectangle. Also, it can be seen that this kind of repetition appeared very often in reality. The shadows are disconnected, because every block is seperated in a particular form and they will not combine with another one. Therefore, the shadow will be very clear and obvious because of disconnection. It's quite simple, but meanwhile very symmetrical and beautiful. In Unreal Tournament, repetition can be applied and used very widely, and sometimes it's quite easy to construct a form or structure which is from repetition. Probably you may feel tired of repetition, but after you see a very complicated form, you may feel that repetition is another way to clarify beauty and unity.
